Today we conducted the biannual primary and secondary evacuation drills organized by the Ironworks Association, simulating a Nankai Trough earthquake (extremely strong shaking).
When the siren sounds, employees must evacuate to the primary evacuation site within “30 seconds” to ensure their safety.
Imagine what would happen to the operating equipment and products inside the factory if an earthquake of seismic intensity 6 or higher struck. The priority is to first move away from dangerous areas and reach a safe location (primary evacuation site). This action could mean the difference between life and death.
By repeatedly conducting drills that concretely visualize and simulate the fear, we aim for each individual to act more seriously with heightened crisis awareness.
